Hardwood floor sanding and filling started;
Stair treads/risers installation started; Loft Balcony rail started;
Ceramic tile floor and shower grouted, kitchen backsplash installed (tomorrow it will be grouted);
Remaining basement doors installed; Additional electrical fixtures installed.

The oak floors with wood sealer/filler before/after being sanded (the floor was sanded before the
wood sealer was applied as well). The sealer is a brown paste-like coating.

Painting - all of loft now has at least one coat of paint.

Ceramic tile floor installation continued - everything completed except the kitchen backsplash and grouting;
Door and window trim continued; Much more painting.

Hardwood flooring installation completed - next week it willl be coated;

Day 210, Monday, October 31, 2005
Texture applied to loft; Mason's almost finished stone on front (they should tomorrow); Additional electrical trim and fixtures, including some fans and lights; Stair shirts installed.







Day 208, Saturday, October 29, 2005
90% of the stone was set on the basement wall. It was covered with tarps before I could take pictures.
Monday they should finish it; Kitchen and mud room cabinets were finished.
95% of the loft was primed. - 11 hours spent so far.

Day 207, Friday, October 28, 2005
Additional painting, almost all of the main floor has some paint;
All main floor cabinets installed, some minor tweaking remains;
Electrical work continued, more plugs, switches, fixtures; Trim and doors arrived;
Taping & floating finished in the loft, this weekend all of that gets primed; Stone mason's arrived and installed the wire mesh - tomorrow they will start installing the cultured stone on the basement front wall.
Deck posts installation started.

Additional painting, including the main floor "accent" wall;
Kitchen cabinets almost all installed;
Electrical work started (plugs, switches, fixtures);
More taping & floating happening in the loft.

Additional painting; Kitchen cabinet installation began (maple with an autumn satin-skaker style);
Deck flashing installed in advance of the stone work in a couple days;
More taping & floating happening in the loft;
Pella stickers removed from front windows.









Day 204, Tuesday, October 25, 2005
The front wall T&G paneling was finished; Some trim going up now;
T&G paneling remains on the study wall (with the wires); Tape & float happening in the loft;
All light fixtures arrived; Kitchen received two coats of paint (beige);
Utility room, powder room, and master bathroom received one coat of paint.












Day 203, Monday, October 24, 2005
The entire main floor was textured; about haf of the front wall received the T&G paneling;
Vanity tops arrived; Utility room countertop arrived.






Day 201-202, Sat/Sun, October 22-23, 2005
The entire main floor was primed, in advance of the texture guys on Monday (it took 12 hours to do it by roller, using 11 gallons of primer).





Day 200, Friday, October 21, 2005
More taping and floating - the main floor is finished; It will be "pre-primed" this weekend.
Interior knotty pine paneling almost completed on both side walls (the ceiling was finished yesterday).
The front wall will be addressed next week. Deck posts arrived.

More tape and floating - the main floor is almost finished;
Interior knotty pine paneling completed on the ceiling.

More tape and floating - the garage is finished, working now on the main floor;
Interior knotty pine paneling began, about 1/4 of the ceiling completed.









Day 197, Tuesday, October 18, 2005
Fascia installed around the exterior stairs (on the sides) as well as on the deck stair risers;
Tape and floating began; Ceramic tile measured; Final deck post installed.







Day 196, Monday, October 17, 2005
Deck fascia installed (the board on the front/outside of the deck). Added several deck joists to make it really stiff by the main entry door. Most of the deck posts were stained this past weekend. Almost finished putting a clear coating on the interior tongue & groove knotty pine paneling (165 16' 1x8 boards).







Day 193, Friday, October 14, 2005
Minor work on the upper loft front wall - need to wait for a couple more siding boards to finish. Finished trim pieces around vents in several areas. Many more interior Tongue & Groove siding boards sealed. Next week the drywall tape and float people should start, some more work on the deck anticipated. Ceramic tile will be ordered.

Front main level exterior window trim, soffit and siding completed. The loft upper (front) soffit complete with the siding and window trim up there to go.
Trimmed basement windows; Some minor electrical work.








I'm putting a clear coat finish on the knotty pine paneling which will go on the walls and ceiling in the great room and dining area.





Day 191, Wednesday, October 12, 2005
More work on front main level exterior window trim, soffit and siding.
Drywall hanging completed. Drywall edge beading completed. Next week the tape and float guys will arrive.




Day 190, Tuesday, October 11, 2005
Additional front exterior window trim and siding; Drywall hanging almost finished (98% complete). Ceramic tile crew installed backerboard in the master shower.




















Day 189, Monday, October 10, 2005
No exterior work today, as it snowed and rained. Drywall hanging continues - about 80% complete. (no pictures today)


Day 186, Friday, October 7, 2005
Trim and siding started on the front wall; Drywall hanging continues - about 2 more days left of hanging; Last section of rear door overhang roofing finished; Furnace was started (it is needed as it was 25 lately in the morning).
